MORISOLI CABERNET SAUVIGNON
NAPA VALLEY
The Vineyard:
The Morisoli Vineyard lies in the heart of the Rutherford
appellation. Fourth generation grower, Gary Morisoli and Gary Galleron
have been friends since kindergarten. Gary began working with the Morisoli
fruit at Whitehall Lane Winery where he created the first Galleron. Morisoli
guaranteed Galleron grapes for life and gave him 8 rows of Cabernet vines
for his very own. This special vineyard block has been dubbed, The
Galleron Signature Section.
The Wine:
Gloriously aromatic with sublime aromas that leap from
the glass: crushed blackberries, exotic dark spices, roses and deep black
fruit engulf the senses. The first sip reveals the massive proportions
of this lush Cabernet. Classic characteristics of cassis, black cherry
and black raspberry seduce and linger on the palate. Bursting with rich
valley floor fruit, this blockbuster Cabernet is intensely pleasurable
now, but will continue to evolve for 12-16 years.
What The Critics
Say...
Reviewed in Wine Enthusiast - Best of the Year 2002
Rating:95 "From a vineyard in Rutherford, this wine expresses
the heart and soul of the appellation. Intensely beautiful aromas
of black currants, rich, thick and fine tannins, and soft acids are
framed in beautiful oak. Soft and gentle in the mouth, but with an
authority that affirms itself on the long, fine finish. Spectacular."
