Lt. Paul Louis Galleron - 1944
THE WAR YEARS
Throughout the year 1941, the Galleron brothers, Virgil and Paul were employed at Beaulieu Winery in Rutherford working under the watchful eye of Andre Tchelistcheff. Virgil had begun courting a St. Helena girl, Alice Acquistapace and Paul had fallen for a Calistoga beauty named Alberta Lawson.
Change was on the horizon for Galleron family, and in 1942 long time ranch foreman, Earl Samuels left his position and 23 year old Virgil took over as manager of the family ranch. Paul, in the meantime, had joined the United States Army Air Force.
